Overview

The original wireless communication system of Yangzi Petrochemical was a traditional 12-channel analog trunking communication system, equipped with over 1,000 terminals and providing basic voice communication functions. With the expansion and development of Yangzi Company, the continuous growth of the enterprise scale, the increasing number of departments and employees, and the increasingly detailed division of labor, the requirements for command and coordination of employees during work have been continuously increasing. The demand for various data applications and scheduling applications has become increasingly strong. In this situation, in order to better solve the production scheduling communication problems in Yangzi Petrochemical's factory area, better integrate with the on-site environment and production and management business requirements, and improve the quality and communication support capability of wireless communication, there is an urgent need to plan and construct a more practical and powerful digital trunking communication system.
Solution Value
Based on a comprehensive demand analysis and on-site investigation of Yangzi Petrochemical, a set of 20-carrier standard PDT trunking system is adopted to cover the entire petrochemical area.
1. Equip with a set of network management system hardware equipment and management system, along with a set of network management client software, to achieve independent management of users and base stations.
2. Deploy a whole-network recording system that, through pre-configured partitioning methods, provides voice streams to Yangzi Petrochemical's recording server based on differences in terminal IDs or call IDs.
3. Each base station is equipped with scheduling function interfaces and devices, allowing users to manage users through scheduling software. Additionally, the base station supports voice communication between fixed telephones and intercoms.
4. By carefully analyzing the internal intercom usage within Yangzi Petrochemical, optimizing the existing work groups, and considering the production and security needs of different areas within Yangzi Petrochemical, we have equipped ourselves with 1,500 IIB-grade PD780 explosion-proof digital trunking intercom terminals and 200 IIC-grade PD790Ex explosion-proof digital trunking intercom terminals.
The biggest challenge for this project was the installation of the microwave link between the two repeaters in order to realize communication between their HQ and onshore fields. All the users' terminals can automatically roam from one site to the other when they transfer between these two sites.
